PROJECT OVERVIEW

Context & Objectives

The Context

Client needed a professional, responsive site to present services and help customers reach out quickly—no e-commerce, just a clean showcase and clear contact flow.

Design emphasized high contrast, strong typography, and simple interactions to feel modern/technical while remaining accessible.

Objectives & Constraints

  • Make services and packages easy to scan on mobile.
  • Provide a simple, reliable contact form (email handoff).
  • Keep the build lean for speed and low maintenance.
  • Apply basic on-page SEO (titles, meta, headings, OG).

My Responsibilities

  • UI layout, color/contrast system, responsive grid.

  • Static pages with HTML/CSS/JS and small PHP helpers.

  • Image sizing, lazy loading, and perf budgets.

  • Form validation and simple spam mitigation.

WORKING PROCESS

How It Came Together

Mapped a simple IA: Home, Services, Packages, Gallery, Contact. Built mobile-first components and ensured consistent spacing/scale across breakpoints.

Implemented a PHP mailer endpoint with validation, basic honeypot, and rate-limit to keep the inbox clean without heavy dependencies.

  • High-contrast palettes and large hit areas matter for field workers viewing on bright screens.

  • Inlining critical CSS and deferring non-essential JS keeps first render snappy.

Lessons Learned & Next Steps

What we learned

  1. 1

For service sites, clarity and contact speed matter more than extra features.

  2. 2

Mobile-first spacing and contrast reduce bounce in real-world conditions.

  3. 3

Keep the stack lean when the CMS isn’t adding clear value.
