Roofing website design for UK roofing companies

Roofing website design has two jobs. When a storm puts water through someone’s ceiling, they need your number in seconds. When they’re planning a new roof, they want to see your work, check you’re insured and send you photos for a quote. We build fast, mobile-first websites for UK roofers that do both, from £400.

Roofing website design examples for three kinds of roofer

These are concept homepages for three fictional roofing firms, not client work. A storm-repair firm, a slate and re-roof specialist and a flat-roofing company each need a different first screen, so each is laid out differently. The notes explain why.

Storm repairs: why it’s laid out this way

  1. The emergency line comes first

A full-width strip above the header and a call button in the hero. Someone with water coming in never has to look for the number.

  2. A chat for the calls you miss

When you’re on a roof or it’s 10pm, the text chatbot takes their name, number and the problem, and emails it to you. It doesn’t pretend to be you on the phone.

  3. Small, urgent jobs up top

This firm makes its money on repairs, so the four service cards are the small, urgent jobs. A re-roof specialist would lead differently, as the next tab shows.

  4. Trust slots, left empty until filled

Memberships, insurance and guarantee terms sit under the services. Each one appears only if you hold it.

Your version uses your own photos, reviews and details. Nothing here is copied from a real business.

PAGE PLAN

A page for every roofing job you take on

Give every job you want more of its own page. “Flat roof repair” and “chimney repointing” are different searches from different customers, and one “Services” page can’t answer both. This is the map we’d start from.

/

Homepage

Your number, the jobs you do, where you work and why people can trust you. Every service page links back here, and here to each of them.

  1. Emergency and storm damage

    /emergency-and-storm-damage

Who’s searching: Someone with a leak, often at night, on a phone.

    • Your number before anything else
    • Hours and areas you’ll attend
    • What to do while they wait
  2. Roof repairs

    /roof-repairs

Who’s searching: Homeowners with slipped tiles, a damp patch or a noisy ridge.

    • The common repairs, with photos
    • How you quote small jobs
    • The photo quote form
  3. Re-roofing

    /re-roofing

Who’s searching: People planning a new roof, comparing quotes for weeks.

    • Before-and-after galleries
    • Survey to sign-off, step by step
    • Building regulations and guarantees
  4. Flat roofing

    /flat-roofing

Who’s searching: Owners of garages, extensions and dormers, and some landlords.

    • The systems you fit, by name
    • What each one suits
    • Photos of finished roofs
  5. Guttering and fascias

    /guttering-and-fascias

Who’s searching: Smaller, often seasonal jobs, and a common way in for bigger work.

    • Clearing, repairs and replacement
    • Fascias, soffits and downpipes
    • Seasonal checks
  6. Chimney repairs

    /chimney-repairs

Who’s searching: People with a leak near the stack or crumbling mortar.

    • Repointing, flashing and leadwork
    • Access and scaffolding
    • Photos of finished work

Do fascias, skylights or commercial work? Add a page for each. With six or more service pages you’ll want Business (up to 10 pages) or Growth (up to 15). The areas you cover go on one areas page, not a separate page for every town. Compare the packages.

AFTER HOURS

Catching storm and leak enquiries after dark

A text chatbot takes the enquiries that arrive when you can’t answer: at night, in a downpour or while you’re on a roof. Our Enquiry Bot answers questions from your own pages, takes the customer’s name, number and the problem, and emails the lead to you straight away.

It doesn’t answer phone calls or send anyone out. For a real emergency, your phone number stays the first thing on the page. The bot is there for the people who would otherwise close the tab.

  • Trained on your own pages and FAQs, so it only says what you’d say
  • Asks for a name, a number and what’s happened, then emails you
  • Points people with photos to your quote form

The Enquiry Bot is £300 + £29/mo. Growth includes its setup and the first month. See how our website chatbots work.

PHOTOS

Before-and-after galleries and a quote form that takes photos

Most customers can’t see their own roof, so photos do the selling. Your before-and-afters show the standard of your work, and their photos let you price a job before you drive out. Growth (£1,200) includes a quote form with photo upload.

  1. Shoot the before from a fixed spot

Pick a spot you can find again, such as the pavement opposite or the top of the scaffold, and take the “before” there.

  2. Take the after from the same spot

Same angle, same height. Side by side, the difference does the convincing for you.

  3. Caption the job and the area

“Re-roof in natural slate, terraced house, Main Town.” It tells the next customer what they’re looking at, and tells Google too.

  4. Let customers send theirs

A photo of the damp patch or the flat roof helps you price simple repairs from the van and turn down jobs that aren’t for you.

TRUST

Accreditations, guarantees and insurance you can prove

Letting someone onto your roof takes trust, and homeowners check. Show the memberships, guarantees and insurance you hold, link each one to somewhere it can be verified, and leave out anything you don’t.

  • Memberships customers can check

If you’re a member of the NFRC, show the logo and link to its find-a-roofer directory so customers can look you up. The NFRC says only members may use its logo, so if you’re not a member it stays off the site.

  • CompetentRoofer, if you self-certify

CompetentRoofer is on the government’s list of authorised competent person schemes. Members can self-certify replacement roof coverings instead of getting building regulations approval. Say so on your re-roofing page.

  • TrustMark, if you’re registered

TrustMark calls itself the Government Endorsed Quality Scheme for work in and around the home. If you’re registered, link to your listing in its search.

  • Guarantees in writing

Say how long each guarantee lasts, what it covers and who backs it. For an insurance-backed guarantee, name the provider and link to the terms.

  • Insurance, stated plainly

Say that you carry public liability insurance and that you’ll show the certificate on request. People want to know before they ring.

Scheme details checked against each official site in October 2026. We build these slots from the documents you send us, and leave a slot out if you don’t hold it.

THE ROOFING YEAR

Plan the website around the roofing year

Roofing work follows the weather, so your homepage shouldn’t lead with the same thing in January as in June. Keep every service page live all year and change what the homepage puts first each season. It’s a small edit, and our care plans (from £25/mo) include time for it each month.

  1. Spring

    March to May

Winter damage gets noticed: slipped tiles, blocked gutters, damp patches. People start planning bigger jobs for the drier months.

Lead with: repairs and re-roof surveys, with your before-and-afters.

  2. Summer

    June to August

Drier weather suits re-roofs, flat roofs and chimney work. Customers compare quotes, often over several weeks.

Lead with: re-roofs and flat roofs, with guarantees and the photo quote form.

  3. Autumn

    September to November

Leaves fill gutters, and people think about the winter ahead before the first big storm.

Lead with: gutter clearing, fascias and roof checks before winter.

  4. Winter

    December to February

Storms and heavy rain bring urgent calls, many of them out of hours.

Lead with: emergency and storm repairs, with the number and the chat up front.

LOCAL SEARCH

SEO for roofers starts with your Business Profile

Most roofing work is found locally, in the map results and the pages underneath them. These four steps are where we’d start for any roofer, and they work best with the service pages above already in place.

  1. Set up your Google Business Profile properly

Choose the primary category that matches your main work and list every service. If customers don’t visit you, Google says to remove your address and set service areas. Use your real business name, because extra keywords in the name aren’t allowed.

  2. Match a page to each search

People search for the job, often with a town: “flat roof repair”, “roofer near me”, “chimney repointing”. A well-titled page for each service gives Google one clear match for each search.

  3. Ask every customer for a review

Send your review link by text after each job. Google’s review policy says you can’t offer anything in return or ask only the customers you expect to be happy. Reviews that mention the job tell the next customer most.

  4. Post job photos as you go

Add before-and-afters to your profile and to the matching service page. They keep the profile active and show the kind of work you take on.

Our local SEO services work through these every month. Monthly SEO packages start at £199/mo, and Growth includes local SEO setup with 10 citations. For the do-it-yourself version, read our guide to SEO for tradesmen.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much does a roofing website cost?

A roofing website from us costs £400 for Starter (up to 5 pages), £750 for Business (up to 10) or £1,200 for Growth (up to 15, with a photo-upload quote form and Enquiry Bot setup). The Trades Starter Kit, a Business site plus Enquiry Bot setup, is £950. Every price is fixed.

What should a roofing website include?

Your phone number at the top of every page, a page for each service (repairs, re-roofs, flat roofs, guttering, chimneys and emergencies), before-and-after photos, the areas you cover, your memberships and guarantees, real reviews and a quote form that takes photos. Emergency work needs its own page with the number first.

Do roofers need a website if they get work from directories?

Yes, alongside them. Directories and lead sites can fill the diary, but you usually pay per lead or a subscription, and the customer stays on their platform. Your own website is where people check you out after finding you elsewhere, and every enquiry it brings in costs you nothing extra.

Can customers send photos of their roof with a quote request?

Yes, on the Growth package. The quote form takes photos, so a customer can send the damp patch, the slipped tiles or the flat roof before you visit. You can price simple repairs from the van, spot jobs that aren’t for you and turn up with the right materials.

Can a chatbot take storm-damage enquiries at night?

Yes, in text. Our Enquiry Bot answers questions from your own pages, takes the customer’s name, number and what’s happened, and emails the lead to you at any hour. It doesn’t answer calls or send anyone out, so for a real emergency your phone number should still be the first thing people see.

Should I put the NFRC or TrustMark logo on my website?

Only if you’re a member or registered. The NFRC says only its members may use its logo. If you hold either, show the logo near the top of the page and link to your listing in their search, so customers can check it themselves. If you don’t, leave them off.

How long does a roofing website take to build?

Starter is usually live in around 2 weeks, Business takes 3–4 weeks and Growth 4–6 weeks, counted from the go-ahead. What slows most builds is waiting for photos, so start saving before-and-afters from your jobs now, taken from the same spot each time.
